Vaccinations
Children's Vaccinations
We stock children's vaccines on site. Make an appointment with the receptionist to get the doctor or our practice nurse to administer the vaccines.
For more information on when your child is due for their immunisations, please look at the following link as the schedule has recently changed:http://www.immunise.health.gov.au/internet/immunise/publishing.nsf/Content/national-immunisation-program-schedule
Flu Vaccination
Doncaster Medical Centre provides the flu vaccination every year. The vaccination remains as the best defence against seasonal influenza, which causes significant morbidity and mortality in the Australian community each year.
If you are over the age of 65, pregnant or suffer from a chronic disease you are eligible for a government funded flu vaccine. If you do not meet that criteria then the flu vaccine will come at a private cost. If you do not need to see the doctor for something else that is unrelated then you do not need to see the doctor and the practice nurse can administer the flu vaccine for you. In 2020, we stock the quadrivalent influenza vaccines.
For more information please visit the government immunisation website on: http://www.immunise.health.gov.au/internet/immunise/publishing.nsf/Content/immunise-influenza
